I know, I know. I was supposed to send this around last night, but we were looking at couches. Which we bought, so now we have some furniture.

Anyway, on to the good stuff. Jesse and I had our ultrasound last night. Everything is fine. The baby’s heart rate was around 147 beats per minute. Everything is there – heart (going good from what I could tell), head, feet, hands, the works. I have 4 pictures of the baby. Since they were printed on an 8×10 sheet of paper, the image is kind of large, so I’m including a link instead of the actual picture. Now, for an explanation. The picture top left is of the foot, the one next to it is the hand. The bottom left is a front view of the face. It’s kind of hard to tell, but the bubble on the right is the head and you can sort of see where the nose and eyes are. Especially if you know what you’re looking for. :) The picture on the bottom right is a full profile of the baby. That’s my baby. :)

We have another appointment with the doctor on the 25th, so there will be more news then. I should be feeling something of the baby by then. Not sure how much I will be feeling, but after seeing the baby move last night, I’m thinking I’m already feeling it move and just don’t realize it. Jesse made the comment that he hopes the RLS isn’t heredity because the baby couldn’t seem to get comfortable. That probably had a lot to do with the ultrasound pushing down and all the water I had to drink, or it could have been the caffeine I had for lunch. :) Jesse and I are signed up for a bunch of pregnancy classes that start in January. The usual Lamaze style class, plus a pediatrician question answer session, breastfeeding, infant emergency/CPR, and a tour of the birthing center.

That’s all the news for now. I’ll have more to report in a couple of weeks. Oh, one last thing. It’s a boy. :)
